On Monday 30th June 2008, a small team from East Lancashire
consisting of PGSR, the Deputy PGSR & the Prov Grand Guide made a surprise sortie over the border, to our colleges
in West Yorkshire to witness the installation of the PGSR of West Yorkshire RWyBro Stewart G. Carley
as the Supreme Ruler of Roses Conclave No 459 which now meets Elland. Some of you will remember this Conclave being Consecrated at
Barnoldswick in October 2001.
Stewart is a very good friend of our Province & this unannounced arrival
created a superb commencement to the evening.
We were made most welcome & when I say that I mean a Secret Monitor welcome.
We were made to feel very special & enjoyed a feast of ritual, an exemplary installation followed by an excellent
convivial social board.
We send a sincere thank you to all who attended the Roses Conclave that evening
for you kind hospitality, & we look forward to many, many more occasions both here in East Lancashire & in West Yorkshire..
This message is to you all. If at all possible, visit other Conclaves in our Province
& feel this special friendship that the Brotherhood of David & Jonathan inspires, spread your wings & enjoy
this wonderful Order as we who are fortunate to travel & represent East Lancashire are fortunate in partaking. .
A note for your diary. The Provincial Team have been invited
to Ordersfelt Conclave No 35 at Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire on Friday 19th September.
Please contact the Provincial Secretary as soon
as possible if you are interested in joining us. Places are obviously limited but this is a good opportunity to see &
participate in the Order of the Secret Monitor at its best.
Finally I hope that you are all enjoying the "summer".
